Template Letter – Suggest Your District Delay Title IX Changes

Sweeping changes were made to Title IX rules, prohibiting discrimination based on sex in federally funded educational programs.

FAIR supports true inclusion toward any group, but we are also concerned about the implications of these changes when it comes to sex-segregated spaces.

The changes to the Title IX rules are set to take effect on August 1st, 2024.

You can use the template letter below to urge decision makers in your district to suspend the changes until all legal challenges to the new Title IX rules are resolved.

As some states adjust their own rules to line up with the new changes, it has also become urgent for people in those states to signal their concerns.  FAIR’s Connecticut Chapter has prepared a letter specific to Connecticut, and we encourage those in other states to use this letter as a starting point to customize a letter to your own state’s needs.
