John Wood Jr. is a National Ambassador for Braver Angels, a former nominee for Congress, and a former Vice-President Chairman of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County. A nationally recognized writer and speaker, Wood leads discussions on topics surrounding issues of civil society, depolarization and the practical application of moral philosophy. He has been a contributing writer for media outlets including Quillette, USA Today, Aero Magazine, The Washington Examiner, The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo News, and more. He believes in bridging the gap between progressive and conservative Americans through thoughtful dialogue and compassionate understanding rooted in our shared value for American Democracy.
In addition to his Advisory position at FAIR, Wood serves as an Advisor to The American Project, The 1776 Unites Project, and is a member of the Progress Network as well as a field-builder with the New Pluralists Collaborative. In 2021, he began hosting his own podcast, The John Wood Jr. Show, where he features conversations on restoring civic discourse with other political commentators and thought leaders.
