The Supreme Court will hear a case on Tennessee’s ban on “gender affirming” care for minors. Learn what to expect at our webinar on December 2nd!
William Clark was a student at Democracy Prep charter school in Nevada. As part of a required class, William and the other students were compelled to reveal their race, gender, religious, and sexual identities, and attach derogatory labels to those identities.
William declined to do so and received a failing grade. He filed a complaint in federal district court, alleging violation of his First Amendment and other civil rights. After the lawsuit was filed, the school expunged William’s failing grade and allowed him to opt out of the class.
From March to April 2021, members of the FAIR community contributed more than $126,000 to a GoFundMe which was transferred directly to Gabrielle Clark for the lawsuit.
