Becky Oliveira is a Communications Specialist and activist who was born and raised in the borough of Queens in New York City. She credits her life philosophies and her attitude towards her fellow man to the works of Walt Whitman, whose pro-human, pro-unity message resonates still across generations.
Prior to receiving her BA in Communications and English, Becky became involved in local political campaigns in 2020, eventually moving up to management positions in subsequent campaign cycles. In 2023, Becky began working in the New York State Senate as a Communications Director, where she was given a unique insight into government-style communications and strategy that she carried with her even after moving on from the position. In addition to her communications work with FAIR, she currently serves as a Communications Director in the New York City Council.
Becky still happily resides in her home borough of Queens. She is the proud mama of three feisty tabbies, and she is dedicated to creating a more fair and balanced world for her future (human) children.
FAIR is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to advancing civil rights and liberties for all, and promoting a common culture based on fairness, understanding, and humanity.
