"Facing the Beast" by Naomi Wolf
The FAIR LA Book Club will return in March 2024 with a discussion of Naomi Wolf's recent release, Facing the Beast: Courage, Faith, and Resistance in a New Dark Age. Before 2020, Naomi Wolf was a New York Times bestselling author, a high level Democratic consultant, and a lauded Progressive. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and she began doing what any investigative journalist should do—ask questions, conduct independent research, and challenge authority and prevailing narratives—she was expunged from the elite circles that had once embraced her. A longtime advocate for free speech and constitutional rights, Wolf explores the unquestionable and says the unthinkable as she analyzes topics ranging from abortion to censorship—including a shocking exposé into the illicit relationship between Pfizer and the FDA. Wolf confronts the totalitarian "wrongthink" that has captured our media, politics, and social fabric. In so doing, she sheds light on how we can find the strength and courage to do so ourselves.
